For all dimensions, connect the numbers using Dimension X. (Select text, then navigate to Window/Automation/Scripts and select "Convert Characters." If this script is not installed on your computer, see a staff copy editor.)
      Use a 2x4" rectangle.

For "inches," use straight quotation marks (do not spell out).
      Use a 2x4" rectangle.

Use the "percent" symbol in text material.

For "degrees" in measurements or temperatures, use the degree symbol (option-shift-8). Temperatures also should include the abbreviation for Fahrenheit (with no space between). For temperatures below 0°F, use a minus sign (hyphen), not an en-dash.

Abbreviate "number" (always cap No.) in text material when it precedes a figure.
